June 8, 2010 Rancocas Valley League Baseball Burlington Mets 4 Willingboro 4 Burlington grabbed an early 4-0 lead in the bottom of the second inning. Willingboro quickly responded with two runs in the top of the third inning. Willingboro tied the game in the top of the seventh inning on a big two-out two-run hit off the bat of Kellen Peter. The Mets had the opportunity to win this game in their half of the seventh inning, but the game ended with the potential winning run thrown out at home plate. Starting pitchers Mike Hynes of Willingboro and Carl Taylor of Burlington pitched brilliantly at times, working out of jams, but neither was involved in a decision. April 28, 2010 Olympic Conference Softball Lenape Indians 4 Paul VI Eagles 2 The Lady Indians scored four times in the first four innings then held on to defeat Paul VI by the score of 4-2. Winning pitcher Tara Dunning went the distance and kept the Lady Eagles in check allowing nine hits while striking out five. April 27, 2010 Colonial Conference Baseball Haddon Township Hawks 11 Sterling Silver Knights 10 Mike McGee and Bill Joyce belted home runs for Haddon Township as the Hawks overcame an early 5-0 deficit to defeat conference opponent Sterling 11-10. Bill Joyce's blast was part of a six-run sixth inning for Haddon Township. Dustin Smith, who came on in releif of starter Matt Donaldson, picked up the win for the Hawks. April 14, 2010 Colonial Conference Baseball Haddonfield Bulldawgs 13 West Deptford Eagles 4 Haddonfield erupted for twelve runs in the fifth inning to erase an early 4-0 deficit. The Bulldawgs scored one more run in the sixth inning to make the final score 13-4. Julius Bzozowski went the distance to pick up the win for Haddonfield. April 3, 2010 Olympic Conference Softball Camden Catholic Irish 1 Triton Mustangs 0 Brooke Fisher crossed home plate with the only run of the game in the top of the first inning. Winning pitcher Laura Messina made sure that lead held up by pitching a three-hit shutout. Messina also struck out 12 batters along the way.
